Hi, my name is Marta! I’m a clinical and health psychologist. I look at each person who embarks on this process as a unique being, to be considered in their entirety. I seek to create a space where you feel welcomed, keeping an empathetic and non-judgemental stance. Here, nothing you say is out of place!

In my clinical practice, I bring a focus on understanding patterns that repeat themselves. I look into the exploration of a person’s life story and how the wounds of the past manifest in the present. I hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Coimbra, and a master’s in Clinical and Health Psychology – Cognitive-Behavioural Interventions, also at the same institution. I use an integrative approach, drawing on Schema Therapy, as well as Third Generation Therapies (for example, Compassion-Focused Therapy). I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all formulas — I see each individual as someone singular who should be respected and cared for as such. At Sobre Nós, I’m also available for adult ADHD consultations (assessment and follow-up).

For me, therapy is a collaborative process, a bridge for you to understand and reconnect with yourself. Essentially, a return to yourself. I’m here to accompany you on this journey of self-discovery.
